Chamber Chops Concert

The Bruch, Piano Trio in C Minor, Op. 5 for Violin, Cello and Piano will be performed on Chamber Chops Concerts, at Congregation Albert, 3800 Louisiana Blvd NE. Members Priscilla , Liz and Debby comprise the trio on violin, cello and piano respectively. The concert admission is free (donations gratefully accepted). The concert also includes works by Ravel, Ewazen, Balakirev and Whitaker.
Soirée, Friday, November 8th, 6:30 pm
After a gourmet meal by Maritza, Violinist Priscilla Hallberg and violist Jason Parris will provide music by Mozart, Spohr, Rolla, Halvorsen and Martinu. Menu for the occasion can be viewed here.

Guest artist for this Soirée is violist, Jason Parris. He was born in Ponca City, OK and raised in Albuquerque, NM where he attended Cibola High School and studied violin with Nicolle Maniaci, Leonard Felberg, and Alexey Shabalin. He then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology studying Business Management and Music Performance as well as chamber music with John Harbison and Marcus Thompson. He studied viola with Gary Logsdon, former Principal Violist of the MIT Symphony and Boston Metropolitan Orchestra. He is now acting Principal Violist with the Albuquerque Philharmonic Orchestra.

Concert, Sunday, November 10th, 2:30 PM
Music for the Soul, a Concert and Reception, will present Priscilla Hallberg and Jason Parris playing Duets for Violin and Viola—selections by Mozart, Spohr, Rolla, Handel/Halvorsen and Martinu. A Reception will begin at 2:30 followed by the Concert at 3:30. “Music for the Soul” is a regular Concert Series held at the Church of the Holy Cross in Edgewood, NM.
