The String Academy of the Southwest is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organization founded 2008 in Garden City, Kansas. Its primary location was changed to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2017 and the name was changed to “String Academy of the Southwest” in 2019.
The Mission statement has remained consistent through the changes.
Mission and Vision Statement
The String Academy of the Southwest exists for the promotion and growth of string instrument instruction and performance. It is dedicated to the importance of the study of violin, viola, cello or string bass for all motivated students—scholarship program available.
